FAQ'S
We offer a variety of products for your consideration and purchase. Special requests can often be accommodated. Quick printing and turnaround is our specialty. If you can’t find the answers you are looking for on our web site, please feel free to give us a call or text us!
Files
We prefer print-ready documents that are “single-file” PDF’s. Designs that consist of multiple pages should be combined prior to sending in a single PDF. This avoids any problems with page ordering if we have to combine individual pages. If we receive pictures of pages we will convert them to PDF’s but resolution and font recognition may not be consistent with the original picture.
Full Bleed Designs
Our printers do not print edge-to-edge (“full bleed“). To achieve full bleed prints, we print on larger sized paper and then cut them to eliminate borders and to achieve full bleed as a final design. Please make sure your designs are appropriate for full bleeds because any text or graphics near the edges may be cut off if your file is not designed properly. Alternatively, we might print with a border if too much of your important text and graphics would be cut off.
To achieve full bleeds, you need to set up a bleed area.
Extend your design into a bleed area that’s slightly larger than the finished print size.
Page Sizing
Traditional brochure, booklet and flyer sizing is usually based upon a page size of 8.5″x11 inches (vertical) or 11″ by 8.5″ (horizontal). Try to keep your sizing as close to these sizes as possible. If your final page sizes are not compliant, our software will scale to fit your pages sizes accordingly for printing. If you are unsure about final sizing, please call or text us.
Printing
We print using high quality digital printers. We calibrate often but there are times that colors may not match the design 100%. Also, colors on monitors, phones and tablets are not always the same and could appear differently than final prints.
We print QUICKLY, often within 30 minutes on smaller orders. Please check your files carefully prior to submitting.
We do not print business cards and we do not provide B&W laser printing or copy services.
We do not print yard signs or banners.
We do not do large format printing. Our maximum print size is 12 inches by 18 inches.
Proofing
We do not Proof. Please check your designs prior to submitting for print. Once received, we consider all jobs to be print ready and we strive to print as quickly as possible, often within 30 minutes. All re-prints are considered new orders.
Paper
We use premium paper from well know suppliers. Our card stock comes in both gloss and silk (matte) and we offer a standard weight of 100 lb. and an option for a heavier 130 lb. weight. Flyers are printed on non-card stock or “text” paper and is also offered in both glossy and silk. Our machines can handle paper sizes up to 12 inches wide and 18 inches tall. We can often cut to custom sizes.
Booklets
A saddle-stitched or stapled booklet is a booklet which are bound in the center using two staples. This binding method is also known as saddle stitching.
- We can print folded and stapled booklets both horizontally and vertically. Booklets that are “left-folding” have a maximum width of 9 inches.
- Files are best supplied as individual pages and we will paginate into the correct order for you. If you design your booklet as spreads, please make sure your page orders are correct.
- Booklets should be designed with a page count divisible by 4 (8, 12, 16, 20, 24 etc.). Other page counts can be used, but there will be blank pages added to result in a final page count divisible by 4.
- Standard booklet final folded size is 8.5 inches by 11 inches (vertical and horizontal).
- Booklet size of 5.5 inches wide and 8.5 inches tall after folding is also and option.
Cancellations
Unprinted orders can be cancelled and refunded. However, once orders are printed they can not be cancelled. We try to print as quickly as possible so keep that in mind when your submit your files for printing as will assume that they have been proofed and approved to print prior to submission.
Pickup & Location
Orders are available for local pickup at our office location which is 343 Millburn Ave, Ste 208, Millburn, NJ.
We are on the 2nd floor. You can enter on Millburn Ave next to nail the salon (green awning over door) and there is a 2nd entrance in back through the Courtyard next to architect.
Building is open weekdays and Saturday from about 7:30 am to 7:00pm. Closed Sunday (text for special arrangements).
All printed items are placed on the shelves adjacent to our front door and are available to take even if the office is closed.
Shipping
Orders can be shipped if desired. When checking out there is a shipping option which you can choose in lieu of pickup. We typically ship by FEDEX Priority Express so NJ deliveries typically take about 1-2 days and non-NJ orders about 2-3 days. Saturday delivery is available as an option.
NOTE: We have a daily pickup time of around 3:30pm so orders that are not received and printed prior to this time will ship on the next day. Please keep this in mind when you place your orders.
